Payroll Transition Update麻豆视频

Dear faculty and staff,

Thank you for your patience, your participation and your thoughtful feedback as we have worked through the transition to a biweekly payroll schedule.

Over the past several weeks, we met with faculty, staff and campus leaders, held a town hall and surveyed faculty members on transition options. I reviewed the survey results and the comments you shared, and your feedback shaped the decision we are announcing today.

About 70 percent of the 339 faculty members who responded selected the delayed transition option to remain on monthly payroll through October. We heard you, and we will implement that option. This approach gives faculty three additional months to prepare for the transition while we finalize the new payroll schedule.

  • Nine- and 12-month faculty and nine-month staff: Employees in these groups will continue receiving monthly paychecks in August, September and October. We will share additional information well in advance of the anticipated November transition.
  • Adjunct instructors: The transition to biweekly payroll will begin in August, with the first paycheck issued on Sept. 4 — earlier than they would have been paid under the previous schedule.
  • Graduate assistants/fellows: They will continue receiving monthly stipends. The first fall semester stipend will be issued on Aug. 31.
  • Unclassified employees: The transition will proceed as previously announced. Unclassified staff will receive their final monthly paycheck on July 31, followed by biweekly paychecks on Aug. 21 and Sept. 4.
  • Classified employees and student workers: Classified employees and anyone paid hourly, including most student workers, will have no change in their biweekly pay cycle.

Let me be clear: No employee will lose earned compensation because of this transition. Employee health coverage and retirement benefits will not be affected.

Please visit the Office of Payroll Services website for updated payroll schedules and additional information.

In closing, we wanted to share this update before the Independence Day holiday so you would have clarity about the transition before the break. I hope you enjoy a safe, restful and well-deserved holiday with family and friends.

Happy 250th birthday, America — and Geaux Cajuns!
